Blend With The Trend: Polka Dots for Fall
Say goodbye to stripes as polka dot is the new pattern for Fall 2011. This trend is seen all throughout the runway, including Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenberg.
You can wear it anyway you like, be it all over or just an accent to an already beautiful ensemble. I personally like polka dots and wear it whenever I feel like it. Good thing that it is very in mode this fall.
Here are some tips on wearing this trend:
1. Wear it as a shirt/blouse. You can go big or small on the dots depending on what the occasion is or what you personally prefer. For those who are a little skeptical, you can opt for smaller polka dots. The fine dots will also be more appropriate for work or school.

CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipcolor
This is the newest line of lipsticks from CoverGirl. It has 44 shades (yep, it really has that many), retails for $7 or 395PHP locally and has 3.5g of product.
I only got one color which is called Heavenly because my mall has a VERY limited range. There were like 6 colors on display.
CoverGirl Lip Perfection claims to give a vibrant, rich color, help smooth and perfect lips in 7 days through their silk moisturizers to help keep lips moist.
I must go ahead and say that this is a very good drugstore find.

Want List Wednesday #2
Its Wednesday again, so I guess it is time for another Want List Wednesday!
I really love matte finishes. I am not the one who loves the glitter or the shimmer in blushes etc, but I have them. I guess I like them, but they are not my favorite finish. So, in line with my fascination of Peggy Carter's lip look which I had a post on, this wednesday is about the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams.
This is a perfect product to use, because its not a lipstick nor a lipgloss. It applies as a cream, but then it dries into a matte finish. It has 11 shades to choose from and retails for $6. It is packaged like a lipgloss tube, so I think that it applies much easier, resembling a lipgloss. I think this would be a matte girl's wish.

Beauty Inspiration: Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter
Ever since watching Captain America a few weeks ago, I became somewhat obsessed with the matte red lips that Hayley Atwell's character is wearing throughout the movie. It really looks great on her. I have been ditching my lipglosses for a while and sticking to lipsticks, but I don't do a red lip cause I feel that it's inappropriate for school so I stick to more of lip stains. This look would really be great for night outs or for a special event.

High End vs. Low End: Sunblock
Hello everyone! I finished school early today, so I have the extra time to write a new post before studying for my upcoming oral exam.
Today's topic is about the comparison of my sunblock lotions: the first one being the Clinique Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 40 and the second one is the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+.
I got a sample size of the Clinique one from a kit that I purchased about 2 months ago. The full size of it contains 1.4 fl.oz and retails for $18. The Neutrogena sunblock has 3 fl. oz. of product and the price ranges from $9-$11 because of different SPF levels but here in the Philippines, we only have one SPF level and it retails for PHP509.75.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 4!
Drooling over the newest addition to the Urban Decay Book of Shadows family!
This palette will be launched during the Holiday 2011. It will retail for $64, quite expensive at the first look but if you think about it, it has 16 eyeshadows (10 of which is brand new and exclusive to the collection), a full size 24/7 liquid liner in Perversion (blackest black), a mini primer potion, a mini Supercurl Curling mascara and a mirror. It would be $4 an eyeshadow which is a great deal, and you get all the add-ons, plus it includes a portable speaker, an audio cable, a USB cord and "Get the Look" tutorials which are smartphone ready. It would take putting on makeup to the next level.
The design of the palette itself is quite pretty with butterflies all over the palette. As with all of the Book of Shadows, it has a pull out tray that holds the products.
I'm very excited about this! I'm sure all the Urban Decay lovers will watch out for this one. Can't wait for the holidays!

Currently Testing Out
Hey everybody!
I have not been blogging for a week now, but don't worry as I have been testing out some stuff for me to review soon.
Hope this will help out.
I am currently testing out two products:
1. Clinique High Impact mascara
-I got a sample size of this with my purchase of a Clinique set.
2. Benefit Feelin' Cheeky Minis
-This set has mini versions of Benefit's High Beam, Posietint and Benetint. It will be a good way of trying out products without having to purchase full size versions of each.
Watch out for reviews of them in the coming week!
Have a great Wednesday night.

2011 Fall Trends
Hope you are having a great Sunday.
The summer season is almost over, (well not in my country because its tropical) and what better way to welcome it than having these latest trends in your pocket?
1. Smoky Metallic Eyes
Goodbye good 'ol classic black smoky eye. Metallic shadow is the way to go this season. It brings a fun twist to the classic smoky eye which makes it a little more modern if I may say so.
2. Dramatic Lashes
Summer is all about the natural look = minimal makeup. Well, that is not for long since dramatic, voluminous lashes are back. Two to three coats of your favorite mascara will do the trick, but if you want more glamour, putting on false eyelashes woould give you more drama.

Want List Wednesday #1
Want List Wednesday is a weekly post on the things that I wish to purchase or things that I dream about purchasing. It can be a drugstore product, a high-end one, or anything at all. Feel free to leave a response below, its good to know what are your must-haves.
This Wednesday's wishlist is all about the MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick.
"Combining the colour impact of a Lipstick with the shine sheen of a Lipglass, Sheen Supreme creates the perfect hybrid - with no compromise. Lightweight, non-sticky, slick to apply and comfortable to wear. This is a must-have for all those who have craved this kind of fusion." -MAC Cosmetics
It has really fun colors, plus its a 2-in-1 product. No hassle of putting on lipgloss after a lipstick to make your lips shiny. It has lots of shades to choose from. I especially like the shade Ultra Darling, which is a pink with a hint of coral in it. Its perfect for everyday in my opinion.
Its currently available at MAC counters or at their website for $14.50. It is part of their permanent line so no need to rush to get them.
So, what's on you list? Tweet

I Got In!
Can I just share how happy I am with this?!!!! I was waiting for this since yesterday, but I didn't get the chance to register yesterday so I was eagerly waiting for it since this morning!
If you don't know what Pottermore is, it is a website that J.K. Rowling made, basically for more Harry Potter. It will be updated by the author herself. So this is a site where all Harry Potter fans can be in one place.
Until August 6th, you will answer a question from 1 of the books and get a chance to register early. For example, this day, the question is about Chamber of Secrets then tomorrow is about the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Even if you registered, you still have to wait for their email telling you that you can access Pottermore. I still am waiting for my confirmation email, but I still am excited about it because you can be the first ones to enter the site! How lucky!
The website will be open to all on October, so if you don't want to wait that long like I do, go check it out here. Even if you don't want to register, answering the trivia questions can be fun. Tweet
Bag Buzz: Drawstring Bags
Happy Monday!
Hope you are all having a great start of the week. I think I am on a blogging kick this week, cause I normally post once a week because of my busy schedule, but this week was not that of a hassle because of the cancellation of classes due to the typhoon!
So, I am really into this type of bag right now.
I think they are really easy to carry around and they don't have a zipper closure so you can just pull the string and the bag opens up. In addition, I also like how it looks. They are in style for quite a while now and I would really like to have one.
If I can splurge on something, maybe it would be this Juicy Couture one:
I really like the color, cause it would go with any outfit, and the size is just right--not too small nor too big. I think it would be perfect for school.
What do you think? Do you have drawstring bags? How did you like it?
Thanks for stopping by,
Jenica x
